Got bored at work.

Took a few minutes to ogle Elliott Koon photography works when I saw a facebook post of him talking about his early influences by buddy and master 忠洋 and ultimately about his photography grandmaster, Vig.

It amazes me how one can influence unimaginable generations of awesome street photographers. Very much like how Cobain can power the grunge movement and made it his own. An entire generation of rockers bred just because of one man's passion. Just like how i am vastly inspired by this multi talented and blessed brother of mine.

Many dreams of doing things they are passionate about. Such as traveling photographer, touring musician or just be a very successful businessman. What we see is the result but what we don't? The amount of dedication and hardworking resolution is enough to beat your dreams into submission.

Things that don't happen: sitting around and suddenly, BOOM! i'm a genius songwriter!

Dreams are just dreams when you don't put efforts into making a reality. There are people who are born naturally talented. Yes, you may argue that those with naturally gifted ones can create a better masterpiece. But how uplifting and motivating it is by that? 

My best example? Batman in the Knightfall saga. Batman is bruised (or Bruce-d..haha ha ha...i need to go out more) and burning out by taking on too much and was ultimately paralyzed by Bane (gasp!). Forget about how miraculously his broken spine was healed but his fight against all odds is a much better viewing value compared to say, Batman single-handedly bombed the whole Gotham to next kingdom come with his newly engineered nuclear bomb that only affects those with criminal DNAs programmed into the bomb. (wait..what?)

Somebody gotta hurt reaaallll Bat.....(yeah, i definately need to go out more).

So, there you go. Efforts and dreams do go hand in hand. In short:

i know its been sometime since i last posted anything here. but here i am! This will be a very VERY short post since i am blogging this during my supposedly "tea break"!

I was facebooking with a friend of mine from my WORMS Family (FC Club on fb) and out of randomness, decided to mod mr. Mraz's hitsong I'm yours to Jagerbombs (because of her devotion to this drink). And she posted it on Facebook as well.

money not enough~

Hey peeps!

Right now, i'm blogging from a COMPAQ Presario CQ42. LOL!!! i'm showing off cos this is not mine! LOL!!!

This is my mom's new lappie. For what she wanted i do not know. All i know is that my sis is quite upset about this purchase. Truth to be told, i kinda feel the same way too. Maybe i'm feeling jealous cos i don't own 1? Maybe.

But lately, seems like money is always the issue that we all shout about.

"WHY MUST YOU BUY THAT??", "I WANNA BUY THAT!" or "Oh, i WIsh i could BUY THAT!".

I know money can buy anything but i just won't buy everything! We study hard so we could get a better job. We work hard so we could earn more. We earn more therefore we spend more. And we worker harder so we could earn more to spend more. And the cycle goes on and on and on...

I hate to talk about work. I mean my day job. So i'm not gonna talk about it. The End..

Fish in a tank

Lately, my sister is having a fascination towards having cute, small and colourful fishies. So, we've been to quite a number of pet shops and places where they sell loads of fishes. Currently, she's adapting quite good with her guppies. Why guppies, you ask? Well, first of all, its easier to take care of it and they are quite a fast breed. Plus, she likes all things that are colorful. Especially if they have blue (it's her favorite color...). Then, she is also NOTORIOUSLY known to the family as the FISH KILLER!

I remember when we were still kids, we'd go and buy some fishes home from the market just for fun. We'd keep them in a pail of water and she'll go and scoop them up just to pet them and then throw em back into the pail. She'll continue to do this every few hours. In less than a week, all the fishes would perform their "leap of death" to escape her "pettings". That is why she is so determined to prove me wrong this time! LOL!!!!!

Anyway, this time i decided to attend to her whims and went around shopping for fishes together with my friend, Winnie. We went looking high and low for the tank and the perfect fish for her and we decided against the goldfish she initially wanted and bought the guppies. She also bought a modern looking tank (which is now in storage...Winnie's lil brother gave us another bigger tank. Thanks Winson!) and we even did a DIY lamp for the water plants! Yeah, we're too cheap to buy one! LOL!!

Then a few days later, we decide to get more guppies and we went to another shop. There is this one place in Greentown Mall which, i think, is the biggest place where they sell a lot of fishes and its equipments. While my sister and my friend, Winnie, is deciding which fish to buy, i went looking around. I was fascinated with the two sharks they put on display. I really wanted to get one someday!!! Watching them swimming non-stop in circles...damn, they make me dizzy! LOL!!!

Then i saw the Arowanas. At first, i couldn't recognize the Arowanas. i remembered dissing them about being aerodynamic due to their flat upper body lines and the knife-like curve on the under body. The joke was on me. When i looked at the price tag, i nearly jumped out of my skin. A small one about the size of my palm costs RM488! Then, as i started to take notice of this type of fish, i noticed there was alot of types. Such as the Great Red Arowana, the Silver Arowana and etc.

As i was squatting like a kid in front of the Arowana's tank, i began wondering. What is it like to be them? They don't know they worth so much and they are like a prized collection to breeders and hobbyist alike. But yet they are trapped in a tank. With no where to go. Nothing to look forward to. Swimming in a tank all day and all night. Just waiting. But for what?

I suddenly felt like i am a really blessed to be me. I can play music, sing my favorite songs, dressed to my liking and just interact with whomever i fancy. God made me for a reason which i have yet to discover. I thank God that i can move freely and just be me!

That trip to the fish store made me feel better. Yes. The fishes maybe a prized collection to some but to the fishes themselves, they are clueless. This applies to us. We might feel like we are the fishes. Trapped with no where to go in this rat race.

But outside the "tank", there is a Person which cares for us. Who feeds us "foods", make sure that the "water pH" is right for us and changes our "water" regularly to avoid "dirty algae" gathering and "kills" us . This Person isn't going to sell us to some shady store to make money. But this Person is doing it out of LOVE. This Person gave His "All" just to make sure that we are "grown" into that "prized collection" mould.

This Person...is none other than our Heavenly Father.

Fish is food, not friend

Ahhh..its been sometimes since i wrote anything here. I feel like writing but i have nothing to write about!

Lately, i've been really stressed about performing at, well...let's name it "S1". It seems like what used to work at some other place, just doesn't work there. What the heyyy...?? Sigh...i guess i need to work harder than before! hahaha!!! My sis have been getting really helpful by helping us to promote our CRESCENDO MUSIC to the rest of her friends too. Appreciate that!

But work aside, i'm facing some life stresses as well. This is the last time i'm gonna bet my life on anything. I KNOW what i want..but sometimes life's a bitch! And i'm the bastard. Go figure.

Well..i really have nothing else to write now. Will be back with more "useful" blogs!! WAHAHAHAHA!!!

Recipe #2: Fried Instant Noodle

Hahaha~Welcome to my crappy edition of RECIPE!

Its been sometime since i last wrote anything here so i thought i wanna share another of my favourite recipe when i sometimes cook at home. You can also find my Recipe #1: Egg Toast on my Friendster blog.

All you need is:-

Instant noodle (a pack or 2, depending on how much you planning to feed. In my case, its always 2!)
Egg x1
Garlic X3 or 4 cloves
Cili padi (depends on how hot can you take)

Ok! Now lets go to the steps!

1. First you need to boil the instant noodle. Save the seasonings for later. Preferably get those powdered ones. i got the wrong one today. Its in paste form. FAIL!!
2. While the noodle cooks, you can prepare the garlic and the chillies. Chop them up nicely.
3. When the noodle is about to be ready, heat up the wok with oil.
4. Throw in all the early ingredients which you prepared in step 2.
5. When the garlic turns golden, throw in the eggs and scramble em (i just love scrambled eggs!)
6. When the noodles are ready, throw em in together with the seasonings. Since its already cooked, you just need to mix together with the already frying stuffs...
7. Serve while hot.

There you go! Simple, eh? But don't eat this often tho. This dish is full of MSGs. Its ok if its just once a while. You could also squeeze some lime, a dash of grounded pepper and some other things you like. You could even add in some meat before you put in the eggs.

Breakie!!!!!

Lately i've been sleeping well. Crashing early, waking early! I like it!!! ahahaha~~

And another thing, i'm mighty proud of myself today! Instead of letting myself go hungry like usual, i decided to make myself some brunch at 4pm! err...not exactly brunch as per say. Does waking up from an afternoon nap requires brunch? or lunner? wahahaha....anyway, here's a photo shot of what i managed to cook.


Its Fried Chicken Nuggets and Scrambled Eggs!! Mmm...i just love scrambled eggs! ahahaha...pretty plain, yeah but at least i'm loving it!!! Oh, and i forgot take snap my glass of orange juice too! wahahha....

a little update

Life has been so-so for me. Lately i've been feeling restless and tired for most of the time. Not sure if posing a self imprisonment at home is taking a toll on me. I just somehow sometimes feel like not talking to anyone at all. I'm feeling tired but i couldn't sleep. I feel like the world's on my fragile body. Oh Lord, i need You now more than ever....

Just today i receive a package from a dear friend of mine. All the way from JB! I was having dinner with my family when she called saying she delivered her 2007 Oops Asia! Sdn Bhd studio cut CD, I trust in You, for me. I was surprised at the same time happy that the timing couldn't be any better! Thank YOU, Gabz! Just when i'm losing focus, your package seems like a boost to me! Hopefully one day i'll be able to do the same too! I had to say my favourite tracks were You Think You Got It All, For Me To Live Is Christ To Die Is Gain and How Could This Be? Prelude (unplugged version). I still love the others but these 3 stood out the best! I didn't know Jamie Wilson played for Gospels too! God bless him!!!

Talking about Jamie Wilson, he is my favourite for any local musicians. Hmm...not to say that being a gaijin is not a Malaysian but he is the best!! His repertoire includes studio and on-stage performance for artists like Amei (KYAAAA!!!!!) and so many others makes one green and purple with envy. I missed his personal performance in KL i think 2 years back but i read the review was awesome! Just him and his guitar...what a night it must've been! Oh, i haven't heard the AkashA! stuffs too! This guy can just play practically anything you throw at him and still smile at you! If i'm ever gonna cut my own album, ima gonna totally soooo get him!!! The first time i saw him playing live was at Amei's (KYAAAAA!!!!!) 2009 Born To Sing! Malaysia Concert. He totally blew me away!!! Mr. Wilson, if you are EVER gonna read this....You're AWESOME!!!!! You so inspire me to keep playing!! Really hope to meet you someday!!

Ahak! Blogging really does helps a lot. No matter you're feeling up in the air or down the gutter, you feel a lot better after that! So, i'm gonna leave you guys hanging till the next post then! Ciao!

Yatta!! New headphones!

Yay!! Today was the last day of PC Fair '09 in Ipoh! My sister and I went to get some stuffs. And guess what i got? No points for guessing tho! LOL!!!

The crowd was ok by standard cos we were there around 4pm. The dreaded time would be by 7pm till closing cos that is the time where the sellers go crazy by selling it REAL cheap! And we saw one selling surgical masks by the entrance! I bet they made a lot of money! I mean, they are selling Rm1/piece!

We got ourselves a car MP3 player thingy that you stick in your car ciggie lighter. We bought one sometime ago and it just burned our money away! It was already faulty by the time we parked the car in the parking lot! So, this time we decided to play save by asking which one is the best seller and why. When we asked the staffs, they only rolled their eyes and said that because it was cheap! LOL!!! So instinctively we bought the other one. More to pay but at least it was working!! Now we get to save a lot CDRs!!! LOL!!!

Next up, we got ourselves a new headset since the old one was already hitting its useful limit. Not to mention that Kazuki almost bit the cable into two! LOL!! Its a SonicGear HP600. Not exactly one would use for recording. I'd go for higher ends if i realyl wanted to use it for recording. After being pushed around and jammed inside the basketball court for like 30mins, i couldn't take it anymore. I told my sister to quickly get her stuff since i already knew which headphone i wanted to get. I was marinated in my own sweat!! urgh~~~

So, with this headphone, i hope to be able to stand longer hours when i'm doing some demos at home cos the old one would threathen to cram my ears into multi parts after like 2 hours! Should i stay or should i go??

Dear bloggy (kinda like diary..only its a blog!!! LOL!!),

Recently i received 2 really unexpected calls from ex coworkers. And what a surprise it was! Both was also extending their help to get me work! ehheheheh~~talk about timing! But I'm considering real hard...On one hand, is money. The other, my project and my kid. Not to mention those guys at Crescendo Music. Arghh~~!!! Decisions, decisions, decisions and oh, have i mention decisions??!!!

Why so hard, i hear ya ask? Well, simply because its a KL job! I am not a real fan of KL's hustle and bustle kinda life. Yeah. I'm just a plain lazy couch bum in a comfort zone a home-type! LOL!! Oka-san says that if my heart is with the project then i should hold ground here and get a local job in the meanwhile. Well, at least i can still keep developing it! What you guys think? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Other than that, nothing much interesting is happening. Its hard to think straight when one is listening to AnCafe! wahahaha~~Take care now!
